Third Annual #GiveNative Campaign to Support Native-Led Nonprofits Launches

St. Paul, Minn. (August 15, 2024) – For the third year in a row, Native Ways Federation (NWF) is launching their annual #GiveNative campaign on Giving Tuesday, December 3, 2024. Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. This opportunity for unity through the power of generosity is a value upheld among Indigenous communities, and #GiveNative is a chance for Native-led nonprofits to collectively advocate for increased support for the important work they contribute across the nation

With large foundation giving to Native-led organizations at only 0.25 percent, out of a billion-dollar industry, this campaign underscores the need to address this critical gap in giving. It also promotes under-resourced organizations to capture the interest of the mainstream public on the largest giving day of the year.

Again, the #GiveNative campaign will launch on December 3, 2024, and updates will be made across all NWF platforms leading up to the official date. Native-led nonprofits seeking to participate may visit the NWF website for further #GiveNative resources.

Additional campaign activities include:

  • Promoting NWF’s official Native Nonprofit List of over 188 organizations
  • Partnering with Native nonprofits to build #GiveNative interest across all digital platforms
  • Distributing pre-made #GiveNative social media graphics, toolkit, and more!
  • Hosting free #GiveNative webinars

“As the map of our national giving ecosystem evolves so, too, will the ability to learn how to best bolster generosity. It is our hope that the #GiveNative campaign elevates the needs of Native communities on the largest giving day of the year in a way that cultivates national giving and radical generosity towards Indian Country.”
