Friends of Puvungna, Inc.

Our mission is to protect, preserve and enhance the lands of Puvungna located in Long Beach, CA to its natural, historical state. We aim to maintain open spaces and provide the necessary means to safeguard the cultural resources on the land. Through the restoration of this sacred and ceremonial site, we provide healing for the Tongva and Acjachemem people.

Acting as caretakers of the land, we support tribal communities and promote unity among Indigenous and non-Indigenous members. By restoring these sacred lands, we revitalize our culture, health, and traditions, ensuring future generations can continue practicing and celebrating our vibrant cultural heritage.
