The Hopi Foundation

About

The Hopi Foundation, established in 1987, is a Native-led nonprofit dedicated to empowering Hopi communities through self-sufficiency, community building, and cultural preservation. Our name, Lomasumi’nangwtukwsiwmani, signifies the process of furthering unity of aspiration blossoming into full maturity over time. Guided by the principle of “Helping People Help Themselves,” the Foundation supports a wide range of programs focused on well-being, sustainability, historical preservation, youth development, agriculture, and media, including KUYI Hopi Radio, the Natwani Coalition, the Hopi Leadership Program, and the Hopi Substance Abuse Prevention Center. By nurturing local leadership and providing critical resources, The Hopi Foundation enhances the resilience of Hopi people while honoring their values and traditions.
