The Noowuh Knowledge Center is a Shoshone led educational and cultural heritage nonprofit organization located in Elko, NV. The Noowuh Knowledge Center is organized to educate, preserve and protect Western Shoshone cultural history, language, arts and the landscapes of Newe Sogobia (Western Shoshone homelands); with the purpose that our children and grandchildren will carry on our cultural traditions and strengthen our connection with Newe Sogobia.
