Since 1944, NCAI has been the unified voice for American Indian and Alaska Native issues. It is the oldest, largest, and most representative organization serving the interests of tribal governments and communities.
NCAI, a non-profit, advocates for a bright future by building consensus on a constructive vision for Indian Country. Our policy issues and initiatives are driven by our diverse membership, which includes tribal governments, citizens, and Native and non-Native organizations.
Today, NCAI has expanded its impact through the NCAI Foundation, the only philanthropic organization directly accountable to Tribal Nations. The Foundation supports Tribal sovereignty by directing resources to Tribal Nations and helping address key challenges. Rooted in an Equity and Sovereignty Framework, the Foundation collaborates with Tribal Nations to drive solutions that reflect their priorities and advance a shared future of resilience and self-governance.
