Iḷisaġvik College is an accredited, Tribal community college that provides quality post-secondary academic, vocational, and technical education aimed at matching workforce needs. The College is dedicated to perpetuating and strengthening Iñupiat culture, language, values, and traditions and building strong communities through education and training. Iḷisaġvik College was incorporated in 1996, received accreditation in 2003, and became Alaska’s only Tribal College in 2005. The College provides programming that directly benefits employers and employees in the North Slope region. The College also offers outreach programs such as cooperative extension and pre-college/youth programming, as well as adult education classes (GED), and cultural learning opportunities. Iḷisaġvik is a bastion on the North Slope, providing many services and excellent education to help serve and advance our communities.
